Retail Merchandising

Retail is a fast-paced world, where style rules and strategy counts!

Every season, designers showcase their latest creations. These looks eventually make it from runways to websites and stores all over the world. It’s the job of the merchandise manager to choose the best of these looks and trends, mixing and matching colors, sizes and silhouettes to give customers what they want, at a price they’re willing to pay.

The Retail Merchandising undergraduate program is for those seeking to understand consumers and retailing. Students learn about important consumer-oriented business practices in the fields of retailing, sales, customer service and public relations.

Promising career paths for retail students include retail merchandising, marketing, public relations, management, and even self-employment in the retail sector. Learn to establish a foundation in business, with courses in marketing and management, while core courses in Retail Buying, Textiles and Visual Merchandising provide an overview of the retail and merchandising industry.
